iPad 1 Dimensions:

At the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, the founder of the Apple company Steve Jobs announced this iPad 1 on January 27, 2012.  People were extremely amazed and impressed by this product due to novelty and later on, sales proved that.

A record-breaking of about three hundred thousand iPads were sold on the first day and this was extraordinary. Apple sold about 15 million iPads before iPad 2 and discontinued in 2011.

This was the first generation iPad with WiFi and had a 9.7-inch display with multi-touch. This display was 250mm and had LED backlight with the scratch resistant coating. The resolution was 1024 x 768 pixels with 132 PPI.

This Model was introduced on November 12, 2013, and this was quite an improvement over previous iPad Mini and people started to compare it with iPad Air in terms of performance.

This iPad was released on November 1, 2013, which combines the design of iPad Mini and full-sized iPad, so users started to recognize it with the best-handled device. It has a 64-bit processor.

This 3rd generation iPad was released on October 22, 2014. This iPad was a minor update from Mini 2, which means display, design, and performance was almost the same. The only difference was touch ID that can unlock your iPad, apps, and payments etc.

This tablet was released on March 31, 2016. This iPad was a smaller version of 12.9-inch iPad Pro. There were a bunch of features, that makes this device a unique one. This iPad beats the earlier versions.

This iPad has a 12 MP camera that is compatible with live photos. This iPad has also an Apple Pencil that helps you draw better while Smart Keyboard is very productive and makes it compatible with some Laptops.

People were waiting for iPad Air 3 but Apple launched a much stable device on March 24, 2017, called iPad 2017 (some called it Apple iPad). This version of iPad was very similar to iPad Air 2 but there were some changes like the addition of 0.05-inch thickness on the downside.

In this iPad, length was extended by 1/2 inch, while the display was 10.5-inch. This was due to a minimal bezel which makes it quite a beautiful gadget.  Its performance and power were same as 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
